Coach’s Code of Conduct
For the purposes of this policy, a coach is any individual who represents Real Hooperz Only on the bench, at practices, or during team activities. This includes head coaches, assistant coaches, trainers, and approved volunteers. All coaches are held to the same standards of conduct.
Professional Expectations
Coaches are leaders, educators, and representatives of the Real Hooperz Only program. Conduct on and off the court must reflect discipline, accountability, and respect.

Demonstrate professionalism, composure, and integrity at all times.

Treat players, officials, opponents, families, and staff with respect.

Pre-Game Responsibilities
-
Introduce yourself to opposing coaches and officials prior to competition.

Ensure athletes are properly warmed up, equipped, and mentally prepared.

Player Accountability
-
Hold athletes responsible for behavior, effort, and sportsmanship.

Address disrespectful, irresponsible, or unsafe behavior immediately.

Failure to control player conduct may result in coach discipline.

Sideline & Bench Conduct

Coaching must remain instructional, not emotional or confrontational.

Profanity, intimidation, or excessive arguing is prohibited.

Coaches are responsible for maintaining order on the bench.

Spectator Oversight
-
Coaches are accountable for the conduct of parents and spectators associated with their team.

Coaches must address inappropriate behavior and notify league staff if escalation is needed.

Respect for Officials
-
Officials’ decisions are final during gameplay.

Coaches may not argue calls, trash talk, or confront officials.

Any concerns must be submitted through official league channels only.

Post-Game Conduct

Coaches are expected to thank officials and opposing staff following games.

Players should be instructed to do the same.

Zero-Tolerance Policies

Physical or verbal abuse toward officials, players, staff, or spectators is prohibited.

Threatening behavior, intimidation, or unsportsmanlike conduct will result in immediate disciplinary action.

Coaches may not engage in confrontations before, during, or after games.
Disciplinary Actions

Coach Ejection
-
Any coach receiving two technical fouls or being ejected will be suspended for the next scheduled game.

Physical or verbal confrontation with officials may result in immediate suspension or removal from the program.

Repeat Violations

Repeated misconduct may result in extended suspension or permanent removal from Real Hooperz Only.

Player Ejections

Players receiving two technical fouls or being ejected will be suspended for the next game.

Coaches are expected to proactively manage player behavior to prevent escalation.

Complaints & Grievances
-
All concerns regarding officiating, scheduling, or league operations must be directed to Real Hooperz Only leadership or the League Director.

Coaches, players, and parents are never permitted to approach officials after a game regarding performance or decisions.
Social Media Responsibility

Coaches may not post, like, share, or endorse negative, inflammatory, or misleading content about:

Violations of the social media policy may result in immediate disciplinary action.
Program Authority
Real Hooperz Only leadership reserves the right to:

Suspend or remove coaches at its discretion

Enforce policies to protect athlete development and program integrity

Make final decisions regarding discipline and eligibility
Commitment Statement
Coaches in the Real Hooperz Only program are expected to uphold the highest standards of leadership, discipline, and accountability. This is a competitive AAU environment built on structure, development, and respect.
No exceptions.
No excuses.
